With its bright, high-definition, 3MP display and capability to present images in color and grayscale, the EIZO Radiforce RX340 is a high-powered and versatile monitor choice for radiologists. Its utility extends to multiple PACS applications such as X-rays, CR, DR, image fusion, and 3D color imaging, for example.
Outstanding Image Quality in Both Grayscale and Color
Thanks to an IPS panel that enables high contrast ratios and brightness along with 10-bit color input that displays more than 1 billion colors simultaneously, the Radiforce RX340 provides high-quality CT and MRI grayscale images and 3D rendering and fusion color images side by side on one screen for increased diagnostic accuracy. The unique hybrid gamma function of the Radiforce RX340 distinguishes between grayscale and color images, which have separate gamma curves. It presents each image on its screen at optimal brightness for the most accurate viewing and diverse functionality.
Furthermore, the Radiforce RX340 incorporates features that make monitor brightness stable and consistent.
-
A patented drift-correction function stabilizes brightness level quickly upon initial power-up.
-
A backlight sensor measures fluctuations in brightness brought on by changes in ambient conditions or natural diminishes over time and then compensates for these changes by making adjustments in brightness. (Brightness stability is covered during the usage time specified in the product warranty.)
-
A digital uniformity equalizer (DUE) makes levels of brightness uniform across the LCD screen.
DICOM Compliance
The Radiforce RX340 complies with the DICOM Part 14 standard. An integrated front sensor (IFS) within the front bezel continually measures brightness and color and grayscale tones. It calibrates the equipment without requiring users to connect and disconnect. This eliminates viewing disruptions while also unburdening users of the time and effort spent on quality control and maintenance instead of reading images. Furthermore, RadiCS LE quality-control software pre-loaded onto the monitor performs calibrations to meet DICOM requirements.
Environmental Friendliness
Use less power while still achieving high brightness with the energy-efficient LED backlight of the Radiforce RX340. Unlike older CCFL technology that's notorious for premature dimming, LED lighting retains higher brightness levels for longer periods. It consumes less energy, and the monitor will have a less environmental impact when it reaches the end of its service life and requires disposal.
A presence sensor further reduces power consumption by detecting when users have stepped away from the monitor and switched over to a power-saving mode. When users return, the Radiforce RX340 resumes normal operations.
User-Friendliness
The Radiforce RX340 can tilt, swivel, and adjust its height so that a wide range of users can be comfortable while viewing images. An extra-wide, 170° viewing angle lets multiple viewers see images on the screen even from the side with no distortions or color shifting. Additionally, radiologists can use the CAL switch function represented by buttons on the front panel for optimal viewing of images in different modalities, such as CT, CR, and endoscopy. Users can also establish auto mode settings.
